You can go with a duplex basket strainer for holding a couple of baskets with diverting valves. Here, one basket will be cleaned at a time whereas the other will be kept with the flow.

Maintenance of Basket Strainers:-

You may use the strainers for long years as far as you are upkeeping its maintenance. For higher flow, maintenance of pressure drop is the main finder for proper functioning. Installation of pressure gauges is an advanced level benefit for marking potential clogging on either side of the pipes. You may start the cleaning process when the pressure build-up takes place.

Make sure that you are monitoring the pressure daily and use it with a safe working limit. Before you clean and remove the strainer, you must keep the pressure level down or zero otherwise it would be the reason for property damage or personal injury.
